Top 6 ReactJS UI Component Libraries

Component Libraries make our lives as developers easier when building complex UI, making them very popular. They are battle-tested software tools used in medium to large enterprise-level applications. In this post, we'll explore the best ReactJS UI libraries that I have personally used and would recommend.

NB: Libraries listed below don't follow any particular order.

1. Material UI (MUI):

MUI is a collection of React components for faster prototyping and easier UI development. It also helps you as a developer build your design system. MUI uses Google's Material Design patterns and guidelines. It is the most popular React component library on GitHub.

2. Chakra UI:

Chakra UI is a simple, modular and accessible component library that strictly follows WAI-ARIA standards, giving you the building blocks you need to build your React applications.

Additional features like Light and Dark UI support, the ability to customize components to meet your design needs, and a guaranteed productivity boost make Chakra a joy to use.

3. React-Bootstrap:

If you are a front-end developer, you probably have used or at least heard about Bootstrap. React-Bootstrap, like you probably guessed it from the name, is the React implementation of it. Developing UI with the library is a breeze since it's easy to use.

4. Ant Design:

Ant Design of React, is a React component library that implements the Ant Design specifications. It contains a set of high-quality React components out of the box with additional features like internationalization, theme customization, and much more.

5. Theme UI: The Design Graph Framework

Theme UI is a library for creating themeable user interfaces based on constraint-based design principles. Build custom component libraries, design systems, web applications, Gatsby themes, and more with a flexible API that lets you style your application quickly and consistently based on your design needs.

6. Radix: Primitives

Radix Primitives is an open-source UI component library for building high-quality, accessible design systems and web apps.

Radix is a low-level library that focuses on accessibility, customization, and developer experience. You can use these components either as the base layer of your design system or adopt them incrementally.
